| New for 2008, the redesigned Blur LT is the ultimate trail bike. With more travel at 140mm, revised shock rates on the patented VPP design, new carbon fiber and aluminum linkages, new bearings with grease ports for easy maintenance, and a redesigned chassis make the new Blur LT stiff, fast, supple, and plush all at the same time. Strengths: First let’s start with the brand, SANTA CRUZ. They are building truly bomber bikes, that work amazingly well, while also providing very good customer service. I am a big fan of the Avid Juicy’s, Fox fork/shock and all Shimano XT w/ Easton isn’t bad. Adjustable seat height, a must. The pivots have been beefed up to better withstand larger riders, and smaller riders who rip. I have many friends who have beat the crap out of theese bikes and they keep coming back for more. There light, climb like champions and handle agressive single track very well. Sick reviews on MTBR. Best of luck to the new owner who is guaranteed to enjoy many Epic years of riding………o>\o
Weaknesses: This demo is only offered in large. Santa Cruz isn’t as readily available in the number of local shops they use to be, and their customer service is still really good, but not quite as good as it was a few years ago. |
